Cookies Policy
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information that helps us provide the best possible experience for our users.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit our website. They help us improve the functionality of the website, remember your preferences, and gather analytics data.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
- Essential Cookies: Necessary for core website functionality.
- Performance Cookies: Help us understand how visitors use our website.
- Functionality Cookies: Remember user preferences for a personalised experience.
- Advertising Cookies: Used to deliver relevant ads based on user interests.
3. Managing Your Cookies
You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may impact certain website features.
4. Third-Party Cookies
Some third-party services, such as analytics providers, may place cookies on your device. We recommend reviewing their respective privacy policies.
5. The Cookies and Storage This Site Sets
This section describes what this website actually stores on your device, so you can see how the general categories above apply here.
- Consent choice: When you answer the cookie panel, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage under the name
hpConsent. The panel offers two things separately, and you can take one without the other: Analytics, and Marketing. “Accept all” takes both, “Choose” takes whichever you tick, and “Decline” takes neither. It is not a cookie, it is never sent to us or to anyone else, and it stays until you clear your browser data. You can change it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. - Analytics cookies (only if you accept Analytics): Accepting loads Google Tag Manager, which runs the analytics tags in Harper’s container - Google Analytics. Google Analytics sets the cookies
_gaand_ga_*to tell returning visitors and sessions apart; both last up to two years. Google’s use of this data is described in Google’s privacy policy. If you refuse both categories, or never answer the panel, nothing from Google is loaded at all and no analytics cookie is set. Refusing Analytics later stops the analytics at once, and the tag is not loaded on any later page. - Marketing cookies (only if you accept Marketing): Accepting Marketing allows us to load Google Ads conversion tracking and the Meta Pixel through the same container, so that we can tell which of our advertisements brought you here; refusing it means neither may run. Google Ads sets
_gcl_*cookies, and the Meta Pixel sets_fbpand_fbc; both last up to around three months. Google’s and Meta’s own use of that data is described in their privacy policies. If you take Analytics without Marketing, advertising storage stays refused and neither is loaded. Withdrawing deletes those cookies as described above. - Functional storage (no consent needed, nothing personal): the site remembers for the length of your visit that you closed the “Book a call” message and, on the client onboarding questionnaire, that you entered the access code. The questionnaire also saves your answers about your business on your own device as you type, for up to seven days, so you can come back and finish; your name and contact details are not saved, that copy is deleted when you submit, and your consent tick is never saved.
- Third parties you choose to use: The Book a call page embeds Calendly’s scheduling tool, which sets its own cookies (Calendly, and its providers Stripe, Google reCAPTCHA and OneTrust) under Calendly’s privacy policy. Client testimonial videos come from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player and load only when you press play. The onboarding questionnaire is delivered to us by Formspree under Formspree’s privacy policy. The ROI calculator’s “Download these figures” button asks for your email address before it prints, and sends that address to us the same way, along with the figures you modelled on the page, so that we can follow up; the page itself is then printed by your own browser, and nothing is loaded from Formspree unless you press that button.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookies & Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page.
